Hot on the tails of EA's announced new tracks for competitor Rock Band, today new tracks for Guitar Hero III were unleashed upon the legions of diehard GH fans by Red Octane, Neversoft, and Activision. They are as follows (and in my humble opinion are kind of...meh)

Avalancha - Heroes Del Silencio

Take This Life - In Flames

Ruby - Kaiser Chiefs

Closer - Lacuna Coil

Generation Rock - Revolverheld

Mauvais Garcon - NAAST

Radio Song - Superbus

In all honesty, I was far more geeked about the Rock Band tracks, but perhaps that's because they were all songs by bands I've actually heard of. The only one on this list that I know is Lacuna Coil. (who rocks my socks hard, btw)

To be honest I have no fuggin' idea on the rest of them besides the other track list that was put on awhile ago and I knew more on the other list. looks at lists NO KAMELOT! By: Dragonfly On: 01:25 Aug 24th, 2007 Offline	The only problem with Lacuna Coil being in this track list is that the song comes from their "We're starting to suck a bit now", era. The rest, I've never heard of. I get the impression that Rock Star is getting so much attention from the media, along with the financial backing of MTV, that Activision are in a bit of trouble; and without the musically knowledgeable heads of Harmonix to help them out now, they seem don't "know" enough about music to make this work. It makes me fearful of Guitar Hero's future.
